Several common mistakes can lead to premature bearing failure.


Choosing Based Only on Load


A bearing may have sufficient load capacity but still fail because of excessive wear, poor lubrication, contamination, or misalignment.


Ignoring Oscillating Motion


A bearing designed for continuous rotation may not perform the same way under frequent oscillation.
